The Denver Daisy!

This Earth Day the Mayor will announce that the Denver Daisy, a daisy propagated in Denver to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the City, will be the official flower of Denver.
Free seeds will be available at the Botanic Gardens on Earth Day. The hope is that everyone will plant them in their yards and the City will be daisy filled during the Democratic National Convention.
Free Denver Daisy seeds are also available at Tagawa Gardens- 7711 South Parker Road.

April 22 people nationwide will be celebrating Earth Day to inspire awareness and appreciation for our planet. We here in Denver will join the celebration with two very important events:
Civic Center Park will host an Earth Day Fair to spread the green word all Earth Day long. Everyone is welcome to attend and learn more about activities going on in Denver to help save the plant.

This Tuesday April 22nd is Earth Day. We at, The Denver Traveler, love Mother Earth, our Sweet Gaia and we found a few worthy celebrations at The Denver Museum of Nature and Science to honor the day.Friday April 18th the exhibit, Extreme Ice opens featuring award-winning photographer James Balog. The Museum has partnered with Mr. Balog to present a new exhibition of more than 24 images, featuring some of the most extreme and remote environments on Earth.
Saturday April 19th James Balog will give a lecture on Extreme Ice in the Phipps Imax Theater at 8:00pm. $15.00/members &18.00/non members
