The Denver Traveler

Right on the edge of town, where Speer Blvd crosses Colfax Avenue is a diner befittingly named, The Denver Diner. It sits across the street from the downtown Fire Station and above Cherry Creek which runs just below street level along Speer Blvd. A good sized neon sign alerts you to its presence and the four sided wall to wall windows allow you to see the heartbeat of action inside.

One of the first places Shawn Marie took me when we arrived in Denver was My Brother’s Bar. From the street it looks small and hole-in-the-wallish, I mean, it doesn’t even have a sign out front telling you what it is! Once inside, however, you feel cozy and welcome, like they have been waiting all day for you to wander in.
