Snowmobiling- Snow at Your Own Risk!

by Shawn Marie on December 7th, 2007

Snowmobile

If, on the other hand (please see previous post), the gloomy winter weather makes you want to head for the hills for adventure- give snowmobiling a try. There are plenty of companies that rent out snow mobiles and provide guided tours of Colorado’s back countries. Some of these establishments even supply snowsuits, boots and helmets. Most of them have pick up points all across the Summit so you don’t have to drive through the smaller mountain roads that lead to the best snowmobiling destinations.

Rates vary by company and length of rental and whether the excursion is guided.

Don’t forget your sunscreen- just because it’s snowy it doesn’t mean the sun can’t find you, especially when you are so much closer to it. Also, you will want to bring bottled water for snowmobiling may look easy but that much fun can take a lot of energy.

Here are a few companies you can look into:

Colorado Snowmobile
Colorado Snowmobile Tours
White Mountain Tours
Grand Adventures

this reminds me of a show I watched once… all I can remember is some guy shouting “you ok dude?” but it’s something to check out.
