Marathon Man… and Woman!
On October 19, 2008, the Denver Marathon kicks off! One of the largest marathons in Colorado, and visible on numerous lists of Marathons to Do for runners, the Denver Marathon is a premier marathon, a half marathon, and a four person relay race. Whether you want to run, walk, or relay, this marathon is for you!
The race is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon, starts and ends at the Capitol building, and winds through Downtown Denver, including Lower Downtown (LoDo). You’ll see the Denver Public Library, the Denver Art Museum, the Arts District, Larimer Square, Coors Field and much much more! There are also a number of charity programs available to run for if you so choose.
You might be wondering why I’m talking about the marathon now, in January, when the race isn’t until October. Well, that’s because the registration opens on January 15th, and it’s expected to sell out early!! So if you want to run in Colorado’s biggest marathon, better get ready…
