If you haven’t heard already, today is 93.3’s Big Gig music festival out at Fiddler’s Green. What’s the Big Gig you might ask? Well, if you’ve ever been to Lollapalooza, the Warped Tour, or Ozzfest, you have a general idea of what to expect. An outdoor, all day concert featuring both big name groups and a bunch of super talented locals from right here in Colorado. On the ticket to perform is The Offspring, Paramore, the Dropkick Murphys, the Spill Canvas, Dropping Daylight, Skyfox, and Denver’s own The Flobots. Appearing on the Local’s Only stage are Life In Electric, The Heyday, Rough Draft, For Love of Ivy, and Saving Verona. The Local’s Only Stage performers were chosen by 93.3 listeners. The Flobots were the Big Mystery Band for the gig and were revealed just days ago on the morning show at 93.3 with Goodman. To say people were excited would be a serious understatement, as the Flobots have exploded onto the scene in the last few months since the nationwide release of Fight with Tools.

Fiddler’s Green is located at 6350 Greenwood Plaza Blvd in Englewood, CO. Tickets for the event are $35 for reserved seating, $15 for general admission and can be purchased online. Doors open at 1 pm, the show starts at 3:30pm.

Water World!
Spanning 64 acres of landscaped hills and valleys- all leading to slides and pools and wave machines, Water World is a day trip that will cool you down while heating up your sense of fun.

Located about half an hour north of Downtown Denver in Federal Heights, Colorado, Water World opened its doors 26 years ago and has been gaining force and adding attractions ever since; 42 to date, including the most tube rides than any other water park in America. It features Wally World for the younger kids and Journey to the Center of the Earth for the entire family. Picnic sites on grassy areas and covered pavilions.

Pricing ranges from free (for the tots) up to $33.95 depending on age and height and what time of a day you chose to enjoy the park. There are specials for admission after 2pm and residents of Hyland Hills and Westminster. They accept credit cards and cash. All in all it is worth the price. Parking is vast and free.

This weekend festival will host over 50 performers and have open mics- everyone will be playing for you for free for the love and for the glory!

Then hop onto the 16th Street Shuttle and take it to the Civic Center Stop, walk across Colfax toward the Library, see all those white tents… It’s The Denver Public Library’s Annual Used Book Sale! Books start at just 50 cents!

Hey there! If anyone is town to celebrate Father’s Day, perhaps from Chicago- hint hint, have we found a great outing for you and Dads the nation over; at least Dads who love Football.

William “The Fridge” Perry and Mike Singletary will be at Denver Autographs in The Westminster Mall signing autographs this Saturday June 14th! The mall is located on 88th and Sheridan and is easily accessible off the Sheridan exit on Highway 36.

Mike Singletary is a Hall of Fame Linebacker, was twice named NFL Defensive Player of the Year, and was the Defensive leader in Super Bowl XX’s Championship win for the Bears. While William “The Fridge” Perry, captured America’s attention in his rookie season and was used in the goal line offense.

Inscriptions start at 10 dollars and Autographs start at 19 dollars and go up if you want to buy premium items to show off the autograph. Sounds like a good gift for a Chicago Dad- or simply a Football Fanatic Father or the Collector next door.

The Denver Broncos are having their annual Broncos Fan Fair this weekend, June 7th and 8th. If you’ve never attended a Fan Fair and you’re a die hard Blue and Orange fan, you don’t know what you’re missing!!

Head on out to Invesco Field at Mile High and meet the current players, coaches and staff, as well as notable alumni and the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders! (Yes kids, Miles the Bronco Mascot will be there too!)

There will be four autograph stations and two photo opportunity areas for fans to connect with their favorite players (or get to know someone new!), as well as a special Kids Zone on the field itself with a special KIDS ONLY autograph area!

Tickets are available online or at the stadium box office. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Denver Broncos Charities. Event times are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. A limited number of “family five packs” with tickets for five people to enjoy the entire weekend cost just $50. Individual weekend passes cost $25 for adults and $15 for children ages two to 12, while children under two get in free.
