Here’s my list of a dozen enjoyable, relaxing, and fun things to do in the Mile High City: 
 

Visit the Denver Art Museum (south end of the Civic Center on 14th Avenue Parkway).  Its facade of glass tiles makes the building itself a work of art (in photo above).

Alicia and I first talked about The Denver Mint back in December, but it is worth mentioning again and is most certainly a Must See when visiting the Mile High City.
There are six United States Mint facilities across this country, each of them devoted to a certain division of minting all of that glorious money. Physical tours are available in only two cities and Denver is one of them!

Denver has the honor of hosting the National Performing Arts Convention (NPAC)- taking place this June 11th through the 14th. More than 3,000 members of the performing arts community will convene to explore and discuss the state of performing arts in our nation. NPAC is based at The Colorado Convention Center and will host many lectures, speeches, discussions and symposiums encompassing all the art forms: Dance, Music, Opera, Theatre and Choral Music.

Fresh City Life, Denver Public Library’s outstanding event and activity offering to enhance and enlighten our minds has a spring art exhibit up at the Denver Art Museum.
The exhibit is in the Morrison Concourse of the Denver Art Museum and it features the work of Ed Adler. The exhibit shares the name with Fresh City Life’s Thinkology: “Wilde, Horses and Cowboys.”

We at, The Denver Traveler, love Mother Earth, our Sweet Gaia and we found a few worthy celebrations at The Denver Museum of Nature and Science to honor the day.Friday April 18th the exhibit, Extreme Ice opens featuring award-winning photographer James Balog. The Museum has partnered with Mr. Balog to present a new exhibition of more than 24 images, featuring some of the most extreme and remote environments on Earth.
