Wondering what the hold up was yesterday afternoon on your way home from work? Well, the reason for the snarl was more than just regular rush hour traffic.
President Bush came to Denver yesterday for a fund raiser for Senate candidate Bob Schaffer. As a result, I-70 was blockaded in places as the motorcade passed, and then again when the President returned to the airport to leave.
Not only was Bush in town, but Bill Clinton (with daughter Chelsea) and Barack Obama were here as well!

Broncos and Mammoths and…a Tiger? Oh My!

A Bengal tiger cub was confiscated today in Centennial, Colorado, after police were sent photos of the tiger traveling through Denver in an SUV, and other reports that had come in that there was a tiger living in someone’s backyard. Police moved in today with wildlife agents to take control of the tiger and place him in a safe habitat until they figure out where he will be placed permanently.
Apparently you are allowed to have a tiger in Denver, but only with proper licensing and adequate caging. The owner of this tiger, however, was lacking the license and the caging.

On Saturday the 53rd Denver Bird Count took place- that’s right we counted up our birds for The National Audubon Society.
Disney’s Princess’ left town Sunday after their two week stint at The Denver Coliseum, hopefully many wishes were granted while they were here.
Office parties were in full swing over the weekend- therefore DUI enforcements were- well, in…force.
Sadly, The Broncos are officially out of the playoffs after the Houston Texans bested them 31 to 13 last Thursday.
