The 2008 Basketball AbilityCAMP is happening this Thursday, March 6th. This annual event is hosted by the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD) and the Denver Nuggets and is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities.

In Colorado, over 57,000 children are living with a mental or physical disability (in Denver Metro there are over 27,000).* AbilityCAMPs are free and open to children ages 6-18 with disabilities. Children are given the opportunity to learn basketball while making new friends, and increasing their confidence and coordination through physical fitness. The AbilityCAMP will include instruction and skill development, use of equipment, games, player appearances, prizes and snacks.
