American Diabetes Expo Comes To Denver

I am a diabetic, so when I heard that The American Diabetes Association is having a Diabetes Expo in Denver on Saturday, March 1st, I knew I had to go!

There will be free screenings, demonstrations, books, exhibits and guest speakers on hand from 9 am to 4 pm. A special section will be dedicated to Latinos and will be in Spanish. The expo will be divided up into Zones, each dedicated to a different part of living with diabetes. One zone will deal with people living with Type 1 diabetes, another will focus on healthy living and eating habits, another with youth and seniors living with the disease.

Also on hand will be experts to answer questions. These include podiatrists, dietitians, and endocrinologists. The screenings will include Foot Screenings, AC1, Blood Sugar, and Blood Pressure.

The Expo will take place at the Colorado Convention Center, Exhibit Hall F. For more information, please contact Maria Johnson at 1-800-676-4065 x-7016 or email majohnson AT diabetes.org. It’s sure to be a wealth of information for diabetics and the people who love them.
