The impression of Denver for many people across this nation, and world, is one of the Wild West; complete with jumping on the back of a horse and slinging shotguns while wearing a ten gallon hat.
Opera Colorado is giving the world exactly what they want in an unexpected way- hosting a production of Donizetti’s Don Pasquale set in the America wild west of the 1800’s! There will only be five performances between February 8th and 17th at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House within the Denver Performing Arts Complex at Arapahoe and Speer.
Don Pasquale is an amusing tale of deception and disguise, uncles and nephews, inheritances and a beautiful widow. Lots of love wins out in this comedy of errors sung in Italian with English and Spanish subtitles. Ticket prices range from $28.00 to $157.00 and are on sale now.
