Since 2004, the Rocky Mountain Roller Girls have been kicking butt and taking names on the roller derby circuit. Made up of two home teams (The Red Ridin Hoods and the Sugar Kill Gang) and two traveling teams (5280 Fight Club and The Contenders) the Rocky Mountain Roller Girls are all girl skaters who completely own and operate their own league. They are members of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association, and are very active in the community, often donating their time and energy to local charities and events.

Not only does Denver boast a professional football team, but we also have a professional hockey team!
The Colorado Avalanche- or the Avs, as the locals call them – arrived in Denver in 1995, relocating from Quebec City. They have a strong fan following, and are currently celebrating their 500th regular season win since coming to Denver. The Denver Public Library presents the Western History and Genealogy Digital Image Collection.
Developed by the Western History and Genealogy Department of the Denver Public Library system, the collection is an extensive amount of photographs depicting the history of Denver, including surrounding Colorado areas and much of the American West in general. More than 100,000 photographs have been digitized to allow them to be viewed online, which increases public access to the photos while preserving them by eliminating the need for the photos to be handled. The past comes alive at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science!
Right now the main attraction at the museum is the Titanic Artifact Exhibition, a collection of items, photographs and information about the famous Titanic voyage.
